a sweet backyard rehearsal dinner

Last weekend we were on the road to athens, ga (one of our most favorite places ever) for a fun, casual backyard rehearsal dinner held at the groom's father's home on the banks of the Oconee River. Rehearsal dinners are such a wonderful time in a wedding weekend. For us, it provides an opportunity to really get to know a couple's friends and families in a more laid-back setting, and plenty of married folks remember the night before the big day as their favorite part of the wedding weekend.  


While we couldn't quite convince mother nature to totally cooperate with us on this one, the party turned out to be a blast, complete with home cooking, spirited friends and family, and an impromptu riverside bonfire (complete with tailgating and kicked up country music :)  Here's a look at some of the pretty table arrangements the hosts had us put together in the bride and groom's beautiful wedding colors.  Enjoy!
